HI,
we purchased a 2011 jetta TDI wagon in November of 2010. We purchased through our business and were able to write it off through the corporation taxes. Are we still entitled to the environmental tax credit of $650 for it being a diesel?

Can’t wait to claim the tax-credit…also want to share this…Gotta love my Jetta and technology!!! Took a long trip to G’ville yesterday with the boys for a MD visit….We were a mobile WiFi hotspot with my router and wireless Alltel card. It was SOOOO sweet as both the boys were occupied on their laptops FB’ing all their friends! Great trip!!! Fast car, excellent music, great family, and mobile WiFi hot spot…..PRICELESS!!!!!

but there’s a catch … the full credit only applies to the first 60,000 units sold. Once the first 60,000 units are sold, then the credit decreases, until it no longer applies. That’s why you can’t get the credit on the Prius or Honda Civic Hybrid (but, then again, why would you want to buy a hybrid – yuck!). They’ve already sold their quota. The good news is that, if I am reading the charts correctly, the credit is good for another 48,000 units. There are also some other catches, but the good news is that I qualify for the full credit
The best news is that I got my TDI SportWagen (bought it on Earth Day). White, DSG, Panoramic Sunroof and 17″ Avignon. This car rocks and the $1,300 will certainly come in handy
