The EPA rated the 2009 Jetta TDI Clean Diesel at 41 MPG hwy.** But before the ink dried on their
report, it set a Guinness World Record at 67.90 MPG. Which made us wonder, what
can the TDI really do? To find out, we're challenging you to enlist in TDI Tank Wars, a friendly competition to
achieve the best fuel efficiency in a TDI.
It's easy. All you need to compete is a 2009 or newer Volkswagen TDI Clean Diesel and a Facebook page.

Set up your Tank Wars profile

To Compete:
While in park, reset your TDI vehicle's trip computer.
Drive for a minimum of 15 miles. There is no maximum.
Come to a stop and put your TDI model in Park.
Take a picture of your instrument panel showing your average trip MPG. Use the example to ensure a valid source.
Go to your profile and enter your MPG, and upload your instrument panel photo as evidence, along with any other photos you choose.
Post as often as you like to achieve your best results

Be sure to include all these instruments in your photo.
You must be in park when taking photo.
Speedometer should read zero. If not, repeat step A.
Trip computer should show 15 miles or more.
This is your average MPG. Post this to your profile along with instrument panel photo.
